Halfway There

Framing photos for me requires a lot of effort....it's just one of those things that is annoying to me.  Probably because:
1-Printing quality photos isn't cheap
and
2-Frames aren't cheap

Luckily, I have a few frames to put photos in...

wedding photos of course.
I've still got a long way to go though with the large photos still needing frames.

Thanks to my awesome father in law, my husband and I *finally* have a grill.  I say *finally* only because it's something we have wanted for a while.  We don't know to use it, and it's still in the box, but we have it none-the-less.

From what I understand though, it's black and stainless on the inside.  Maybe it'll come out of the box soon, we can learn how to use it, and have some people over.

-Hopefully-

Any number of things

I feel very chaotic with so many things in limbo right now...

5. Print out and frame wedding photos
20. Learn to two-step
25. Pay off all MY credit cards
63. Change my blog design once a month (1/33)
70. Buy a grill and learn how to use it!
73. Unpack all the boxes
76. Return the cart at the grocery store each time (6/6)
82. Have a girl's night at least once a month (1/33)
83. Try a new restaurant once a month (1/1/33)

Four of the nine things in limbo are things that will continue the length of the blog.  I am going to have to figure out a spot on the blog in order to organize them all or something...it will drive me nuts!!

Do Your Ears Hang Low...

You know that song?

Do your ears hang low
Do they wobble to and fro
Can you tie them in a not
Can you tie them in a bow...

Ya know.  Right???

It's commonly heard on the...

That's right!!! Matt and I were deep in discussion tonight, me sitting at the bar, him standing in front of the sink, and my ears perked up.  I heard a high pitched dinging noise.  Matt was mid-sentence, I put my hand up in the stop signal (not the stop sign in American Sign Language - thanks Kyle).  Matt got the message, he stopped talking, I listened to air...and then, my 101 popped into my head.  We ran out the front door, found the street where the Ice Cream Truck was and then we waited.  We waited on the corner for like 5 minutes!!  He wasn't moving.  So Matt went down to the end with instructions to get a chocolate coated vanilla ice cream bar.  They were out!!

Yum!! Here's what's left of completing my #27!!!

Wondering What Counts

Tonight Matt and I are going out with my very first college roommate, Heather, and her husband, David.  We happen to live in the same neighborhood so we have gotten together a couple of times.  Tonight we are going to the race track and then to Big Texas for some dancing.  A couple weeks ago we went to Big Texas for Caitlin's birthday party.  This was after I had started this project.

Once we finalized these plans with Heather and David, I decided Matt and I would learn to two step, #20, via YouTube.  This morning, I woke up about an hour before Matt so I started YouTubing it up.  Looked easy enough...but then I added in my husband.  This is now me...

Oh...boy.
He's cute...
I love him...

BUT OH BOY!!

So now I'm wondering whether or not I can count #20 if my intention was for me to learn how to two-step and then accomplish that publicly with my husband.  I can two step after watching youtube seeing as how I had a bit of before knowledge and just needed to turn it around, since I learned to lead.  Maybe I should change it to

20.  Teach husband how to two step

First Impression

I wish wish wish we had a picture of the front of the house before we replanted.  The garden was FULL of weeds.  It had grass growing in it.  There were four "wanna be" poisonous (to doggies) plants in the back line, one of which was dead and just had gray twigs growing out of it "wanna be" roots.  The front had these berry bushes growing that I had removed at the old house.  We knew they were going out.  For sure.

Lo and behold, the day after we finished, I checked the mail.
Side note:  It's so nice having the mailbox right in front of the house!!!
In the mail was a lovely letter from Sterling ASI.  It was so different than any previous letters from the old house that I had received.  It had a separate page for notes on how to the issue was going to be corrected and a place to sign and instructions for how to return.  Really???
This should be FUN.  Well, in lieu of a paper and an explanation, I just took photos for them.  I sent them via email, but I did sign the bottom of the page and date it.

Leann and I went to Lowe's to get a shovel and a rake...but came back with about 12 new plants, a shovel, a rake, and immediately got to work to beat the dark and the storm rolling in.  Matt and I are pretty happy with the results!!  I can't wait to see what happens when the plants start maturing.

The new and improved garden.

Going back and forth

Number 63 is just to change my blog layout once a month...I probably should have restricted that to ONLY changing my blog layout once a month.  Although, I have to admit, it feels like everytime I change it, the title gets farther and farther and farther away from the text below it.  I am not normally technologically challenged, but that, I cannot get it to go away. (eta: YES!!!! Figured it out!!)

My blog is my homepage...there is no way for me to forget about this project!! I'm pretty excited.

My layouts in progression!

One day and I am on board...

My new friend Jessica inspired me (and hopefully a few others) to start our own "self-exploration" (if you will) project. I started out sheepishly with a list of half. I only wanted to achieve/accomplish 51 tasks in 501 days. Slowly I thought of things, and slowly my list grew. So here we are, my list is complete, and now...to get moving.

The Challenge:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple challenges such as New Year's resolutions or a 'Bucket List'. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.
