Showered with Love

I've started this blog post a few times, but I just don't have the words.  I don't know what to say about my shower, to explain how it wasn't just a showering of gifts but of love and friendship.

The details were amazing.  My sister had so many little details that so many people contributed to helping with.  Between the cake, the food, the decorations, the small touches, the gifts...everything was incredible.  My sister, Courtney, Laura, and our moms did such a great job.  And everyone else that helped as well....I don't have the right words to even show my appreciation.

#1.  The pictures get a little bigger if you click them
#2.  Sorry for the overload.
Details first.

Photo Booth and Results Next.

I hope everyone had a great time.  I sure did and wish I could say "Thank You" to everyone in a way that expresses just how much I appreciate the support and love during this special time.

Feeling Gorgeous

It's really wonderful what a photographer can do to make a pregnant woman feel spectacular.  Gorgeous.  Beautiful.  And the surprise that comes to see yourself on the other end of the lens.

I was 31.5 weeks pregnant when we went to Jurgen Hall in Cypress for a maternity shoot with Candace, from Eye Candy by Candace.  My sister has been using her for a couple of years for her Christmas and various other photo shoots.  She did a fantastic job.  I am beyond happy with the results.  They are great photos.  And I lucked out.  My sister framed some of my favorites as decorations for the baby shower.

I love the photos.  The poses are great, the colors are great...and even though it was 98 degrees, you'd never have known it.  Thanks so much Candace!!

Pampering

Pampering...of the feet.

I've had two pedicures in the past 2 1/2 weeks.  It's great.  The pedicurist today say "You have big feet."  She meant swollen...not like big foot.
I can't believe we didn't get a photo of us in the pedicure chairs or even at the salon.  We decided to wait until my feet were good and swollen (the pedicurist would have really been surprised by this point).

So great...pregnancy is not nice on feet.  Not at all.

The good.

The bad...but fun.

#21.  Get a pedicure with Jessica.  Done.

For My Records

Wow...who'd have thought that I would need lists and reminders for everything I need to take care of?  I can still remember things for others.  Where is my "my" memory?  I need to remember things.  For me.

So, to remind myself.  I've got the next 7 weeks to get these things done.
8.  No fried food for 30 days.  (This started Monday, May 16.)
21.  Get a pedicure with Jessica.  To clarify, that's Jessica Smith.  It's (tentatively) planned for June 10.
39.  Pay for the person's food behind me in the drive-thrue line
44.  Get a massage (I've got a gift certificate from Christmas for Massage Envy and I plan on getting an induction massage July 23.)
48.  Go to the double-feature drive in. (Christina and I have already talked about this, we just need to plan it.)
93.  Sell a box of books to Half Price Books.  (It may be more of a bucket, but they've been in the attic, so I do not need them.)

-11 more days of no fried food.  I'm either going to do it through the end of the month of limit it to once per week.
-Eh-hem...hey Jessica.  Respond to my text.
-Can't go to the drive-thru because I don't like the grilled chicken sandwiches.  This may end up as a problem.
-The massage...I think I am running out of time to have this massage, or I might be past it.  I dimly remember hearing that Massage Envy won't do a prenatal massage after 32 weeks.  Gotta check that out.  Don't know when I'll go into labor, so the induction massage isn't guaranteed.
-Why did I put the double-feature on my "do this before baby list"? It's HOT.
-The books...I need to just get them in the car and get them sold.
